Early Childhood Family Education

The Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program offers fun, interactive and educational activities to parents and children ages birth to five years. The goal of the program is to strengthen families and help parents and children grow and develop within a circle of support. Parents and children participate in fun activities that encourage learning. Parents participate in discussions led by a parent educator while their children learn through play and socialize with other children.

Fridley ECFE Program Offers:

  • Provide hands-on learning experiences.
  • Support children's growth and development through play.
  • Classes are taught by a licensed early childhood and parent education teachers.

*The word “parents” includes all individuals who function in a parenting role – mothers, fathers, partners, grandparents and other relatives, foster parents, etc.

We offer a variety of Early Childhood Family Education classes for parents and children, from infant to five-years-old.

An Early Childhood Screening is required prior to your child's entrance into public school. The screening is a free and quick look at how your child is growing and developing.

While all young children grow and change at their own individual rate, some children experience delays in their development. Help Me Grow is a group of service providers who work together providing free early intervention referral services for children birth to three-years-old.

Minnesota children who qualify could be eligible for services in their home, child care setting, or school. Further resources are provided by calling: Anoka Area Help Me Grow Central: 1-866-693-GROW (4769) or go to helpmegrowmn.org to schedule and gain more information regarding a free screening.
