Early Childhood Screening

An Early Childhood Screening is required prior to your child's entrance into public school. It is a  screening is a free and quick look at how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 ½ and 4, this 1-hour check focuses on your child’s vision, hearing, small and large motor skills, language and thinking skills. Our trained screening staff will guide your child through the process in a game-like activity to qualify these indicators.

This also presents an opportunity for parents to learn about resources available, and to connect with the school.  Screening identifies possible learning or health concerns so that children can get the help they need before starting school.

To schedule an appointment, call Jarrett at 763-502-5102 or fill out our Screening Interest Form. Someone from our team will be in contact with you after filling out the form. Please note that we prioritize students that will be attending Fridley Public Schools. Our offices are conveniently located at Fridley Community Center which is also the location of our early childhood screening program.

Screening Registration:

Remember to print and complete this Screening Registration Packet or our Screening Registration Form for your child's appointment. If you are unable to bring these forms with you to your appointment, you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes BEFORE your appointment to give yourself adequate time to complete the forms.
